Israel’s war against Gaza live: “Absolute chaos” in hospitals after attack on school | News on the Israel-Palestine conflict

Alexandra Saieh, a spokeswoman for Save the Children, told Al Jazeera that Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip continue to kill and maim children.

“There is no place in Gaza that can provide refuge for civilians, including children, and there is no place in Gaza that is safe,” she said from Washington, DC

“We continue to see children being killed in the most gruesome ways imaginable. We have seen in the last few weeks and over the last nine months children being dismembered, having their limbs torn off with explosive weapons, being crushed by falling debris… it is just relentless.”

Saieh pointed out that Save the Children estimates that more than 20,000 children are missing in Gaza.

“This includes children separated from their families and more than 4,000 lying under the rubble and presumed dead. This also includes children buried in unmarked graves and children detained and disappeared by Israeli forces. In addition, there are more than 14,000 children killed and thousands more maimed,” she said.
