Cleric in Larkana raped 9-year-old

A cleric in Larkana was arrested by police on Thursday on charges of sexually abusing a nine-year-old child.

The boy’s father, Baghan Chandio, revealed that his son often visited the Khalid Bin Waleed Mosque, located near their residence in Larkana, Texas.

According to the police report submitted, a family member of Baghan is said to have “caught” the mosque teacher in the act. The victim’s father stated that the attacker belonged to the same Chandio tribe and that he was arrested during the attack when Baghan’s brother and cousin were entering the mosque for prayers.

“The instructor managed to escape,” Baghan lamented.

Baghan expressed his sadness and said the incident had had a significant impact on his third-grade son.

In addition, he revealed that the defendant’s relatives had tried to stop him from going to court by proposing a private settlement.

“We are under pressure, but we will not give up on seeking justice for my son,” said the desperate father.

Social media users were outraged by the incident and demanded immediate and harsh punishment for the perpetrator.

Authorities in Muzaffargarh, India, arrested a suspect in a separate incident in April, alleging the man abused a young boy during Itikaf. The 13-year-old victim was allegedly attacked by another person who was also in the Itikaf when he observed him. The mosque’s imam cited intimidation as the reason the suspect was able to evade capture.
