In Cathedral City, power lines accidentally went down, affecting homes and streets

Cathedral City crews are on scene in a neighborhood where power lines are down on streets and several homes.

The Cathedral City Fire Department was called to the area of ​​Avenida Del Yermo north of Vega Road around 10 a.m. due to a serious oil rig accident that brought down live lines for several blocks.

Police have closed some streets near the accident site and urged residents in the neighborhood to seek shelter while they work to clear the hazards.
