Manassas police seek suspect in July 4 shooting incident

MANASSAS, VA – Authorities are searching for Timothy Duvall Fields, 25, following a shooting incident that occurred around 3:16 a.m. on July 4 in the 9100 block of Estates Pond Court.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired and found a 23-year-old woman and Fields, an acquaintance, involved in a verbal altercation outside the home. During the altercation, Fields reportedly brandished a firearm and fired several shots into the air. A resident of the home who heard the gunshots also fired several shots into the air. Fields then fired several more shots before fleeing the scene in a blue Honda Civic hatchback. An unoccupied vehicle was struck by gunfire, but no injuries or additional property damage were reported.

After consulting with the district attorney’s office, no charges will be filed against the resident who fired the shots. However, arrest warrants have been issued for Fields, who remains at large.

Fields is described as a black male, approximately 5’10”, 185 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. He lives in the 8700 block of Richmond Avenue in Manassas.

He is wanted for reckless handling of a firearm, brandishing a firearm and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Manassas Police.

  • Suspect sought in armed robbery and assault on Boyland Street

    BROOKLYN, NY – Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a robbery and assault that occurred outside 130 Boyland Street at approximately 11:28 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28.

    During the incident, a 36-year-old male victim was pushed to the ground and repeatedly punched by an unknown individual, causing lacerations to his right eye and the left side of his head. The suspect then took the victim’s cell phone and fled east on Marion Street.

    The victim’s injuries were treated at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.

    The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man, weighing approximately 68 kg and standing 1.70 m tall. He was last seen wearing a grey baseball cap, a grey hooded jacket, a black hoodie, black jeans and blue sneakers.

    Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is asked to contact police.

  • Man murdered in Trenton on Thursday evening, shot multiple times

    TRENTON, NJ – Mercer County Homicide Detectives and Trenton Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Thursday night in Trenton.

    On July 4 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Trenton Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of Stuyvesant Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Amir Williams, 32, of Trenton, lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Williams was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

    During the investigation, a second victim, an adult female, was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the right hip.
