Baltimore Police Conduct Drunk Driving Enforcement Check in East Baltimore

BALTIMORE – In anticipation of the Fourth of July weekend, Baltimore Police conducted a DUI checkpoint in the 2500 block of Harford Road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities said the location was chosen due to the increasing number of injuries from car accidents along Harford Road.

During the inspection, BPD officers provided information about safe driving and avoiding driving under the influence of alcohol.

The police further state that drivers caught driving under the influence of alcohol will be reported and/or arrested.

The agency states: “The BPD will continue its public safety efforts by monitoring high-risk areas, establishing checkpoints, and increasing enforcement in problem areas to achieve zero traffic-related deaths in Maryland.”
