Woman pushed to the ground and sexually abused by two men in the toilet block

New South Wales Police are appealing for information from the public after a woman was pushed to the ground and sexually assaulted by two men at a rest stop on the Hume Highway.

The 44-year-old woman, who suffered cuts and bruises in the attack, told police she stopped at the rest stop between Yass and Campbelltown in the early hours of April 18.

The attack occurred as she entered a toilet block at a rest stop on the 220km stretch of the Hume Highway between Yass and Campbelltown.

It is alleged that the woman was pushed to the ground and then sexually assaulted by two men who smelled of body odor and spoke with an Australian accent.

Authorities are currently investigating the possibility that two semi-trailers may have been parked at the rest area at the time of the attack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
