Woman charged with driving under the influence and hit and run after incident on Route 104 in Fairfax

FAIRFAX – A Morrisville woman has been charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident after she allegedly struck two motorcycles and drove erratically on Route 104.

Mariah Spaulding, 29, was arrested by authorities at 6:11 p.m. on July 5 after several witnesses reported a vehicle driving erratically and dangerously on the road in Fairfax.

When police stopped Spaulding, they found that she was under the influence of alcohol.

The subsequent investigation also revealed that she had collided with two motorcycles and had not stopped before being stopped by the police.

Spaulding is now charged with drunk driving, gross negligence and leaving the scene of an accident.

Further information on the condition of the motorcyclists was not initially available; the incident is still being investigated.
