A violent attack on Union Street was the trigger for the charges

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, the charges stem from an assault that occurred on June 23, 2024, in Hermon, when officers responded to a report of an injured man on Union Street just before 4 a.m. When they arrived, they found the man had sustained serious injuries from an assault and had been brutally attacked and robbed by known accomplices. The victim was transported to the hospital shortly after emergency responders arrived on scene.

Drugs were found in a hotel where the suspects’ vehicle was located

Officers located one of the suspect’s vehicles at the Holiday Inn on Odlin Road in Bangor and arrested three of the five people identified in the robbery. Members of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit arrived a short time later to assist officers in searching two hotel rooms and the vehicle. During that search, several bags of crack cocaine were seized. The three suspects, Kindred, Pope and Allard, were taken to the Penobscot County Jail.

According to officials, additional suspects have been identified and located.
