Albany man arrested after aggressive driving

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — State police say an Albany man was arrested during an investigation into a road rage dispute in April. Khymeir Yarbrough, 25, faces numerous charges.

On April 13 at approximately 4:26 p.m., State Police responded to North Pearl Street in Albany after reports of someone being threatened with a weapon. Further investigation revealed that during a DUI incident on I-787, a driver allegedly pointed a handgun at the occupants of another vehicle, including two adults and a minor.


Yarbrough was later identified as the perpetrator of the incident and the Albany City Court issued a warrant for his arrest. On July 2, police officers found Yarbrough during a traffic stop on Madison Avenue. He reportedly fled the stop on foot but was quickly arrested on Partridge Street.

According to state police, Yarbrough was found to be in possession of a large amount of drugs at the time of his arrest. He is now facing the following charges:

  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Second degree threat
  • Reckless endangerment in the second degree
  • Endangerment of the child’s welfare
  • Resisting arrest

Yarbrough was arraigned in Green Island Municipal Court and subsequently remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
