15-year-old arrested for beating deputy sheriff during theft investigation in Lehigh Acres

A Lehigh Acres teen was arrested Wednesday after allegedly kicking a deputy in the knee and punching him in the face during a theft investigation. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to a possible theft in the 1600 block of Irene Avenue S. A possible suspect, 15-year-old Ciara Taylor, had left the scene through the back door of a home. The LCSO report states a deputy was able to locate Taylor nearby in the area of ​​Irene Avenue S. and 18th Street SW. She refused to move away from the deputy. When the deputy attempted to arrest Taylor, she allegedly kicked him in the knee and a struggle ensued between them. Taylor punched the deputy in the nose while both sides traded blows during the struggle. Taylor was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail after the deputy used his stun gun on her twice. She is charged with assault on a police officer.
