Amarnath Yatra temporarily suspended due to heavy rains

In view of the heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, the Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended

Amarnath Yatra Suspension Today News, Jammu and Kashmir Weather Update: Due to heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure.

There is particularly great enthusiasm for the Amarnath Yatra among the devotees of the god Shiva. Despite heavy rain, the journey lasted until Friday, but due to bad weather, the Amarnath Yatra was cancelled today.

The decision was taken in light of the persistent rain since yesterday evening, with passengers reportedly waiting until 6am to continue their journey at the Domel checkpoint.

It is important to mention that the Amarnath Yatra began on June 29 and was suspended on Saturday on both routes due to intermittent heavy rain in the region.

We would like to inform you that the authorities have sent the yatra back to the camp at 6 am. This place is experiencing continuous rain and the weather is also bad. Therefore, no new group of Amarnath pilgrims have been allowed to proceed from Nunwan base camp to the holy cave via Chandanwari axis.

Officials say passengers will only be allowed to continue their journey once the weather improves.
