17-year-old girl kidnapped and raped in moving car in Rajasthan: Police

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two men in a moving car in Sirohi district of Rajasthan, police said on Saturday.

Police said they identified the accused as Vanna Ram and Dashrath.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening when the accused abducted the girl from her home and raped her in a moving car. After committing the crime, they took her back home, police said.

Based on the complaint of the girl’s family, a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered against the accused. The girl’s statement was also recorded by a magistrate, it said.

Efforts are on to arrest the accused and further investigation is underway, police added.
