Once we reach the peak heat and humidity of the afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms will move in along a frontal boundary to the west. Gusty winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning are the main hazards we will be watching for. By midnight, the remaining showers and thunderstorms will have died down.

Today’s showers and storms will usher in a period where our weather pattern will become unsettled. The frontal boundary to the west will move away, giving us plenty of thunderstorms. Sunday afternoon will bring another round of showers, and then there will be a chance of persistent rain into next week.
