1 dead and 2 injured in accident on Major Deegan Expressway

One person was killed and two others injured in an accident on the Major Deegan Expressway Saturday morning, police said.

According to authorities, a 46-year-old man driving a gray JMC collided with a white Jeep near West 230th Street around 2 a.m.

The driver of the Jeep was killed in the accident. According to the New York Fire Department, two other people were injured.

Police say the incident is still under investigation.
