ST. LOUIS — One person is dead and several others are recovering from injuries after a wrong-way driving crash in north St. Louis. Investigators say a blue Infiniti was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of West Florissant Avenue when it collided with a gray Mercury that was attempting to turn onto Thrush Avenue.

The impact caused the Infiniti to crash into a nearby parked car and a truck. A man in the Infiniti was killed and a woman was injured. Two other men in the Infiniti fled the scene. The woman driving the Mercury and her passenger were also injured but are expected to recover.
