Houston police search for 22-year-old arrested in Fifth Ward

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is searching for Kenneth Cutting, 22, who was last seen early Saturday morning around 2 a.m. getting out of a car on the 10 Freeway near Waco St. in the 5th Ward.

The family says Kenneth was at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar downtown and was last seen there just before midnight.

According to friends, Cutting got into a dispute with two roommates he was hanging out with. They all got into a car and drove east on I-10, the family said.

Cutting’s family reports that the disagreement continued and Kenneth was dropped off on the 10 Freeway near Waco Street in the Fifth Ward, allegedly leaving his phone and wallet behind.

Kenneth Cutting, 22 years old

The family said they received a text from their roommates around 2 a.m. explaining the situation and went to Houston police as soon as they saw him in the morning.

“My family really needs answers, we want him to come home safely,” said Lauren Freeman, Kenneth’s cousin.

She says Kenneth has never been missing for a long period of time and it is extremely unusual for him not to have his phone.

“It’s not like anything he’s ever done. He’s never run away, he’s never been gone for a long time, this has never happened. My family is extremely worried about him,” she said.

Houston police said a detective is on the case and they are investigating.

“Since we heard the news, we haven’t stopped. From sunup to sundown, we’ve been handing out flyers, we’ve been making phone calls, we’ve been doing everything we can on social media to get the word out. We’re not going to stop until we find out what happened,” Freeman said.

Kenneth is described as a young white male, 5’7″, 120 lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair.
