Braves’ Eddie Rosario hits a triple in his first game with the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers

Andrew Velazquez had a hit and drove in three runs for Gwinnett. Alvarez has 10 multi-hit games in just 19 Triple-A games.

A two-run single by Velazquez and an RBI single by Drake Baldwin gave the Stripers a 3-0 lead against Adam Plutko in the second inning, but St. Paul quickly tied it with Anthony Prato’s three-run triple off Dylan Dodd in the bottom of the second.

Gwinnett came back in front 4-3 on Luke Waddell’s sacrifice fly, scoring for Rosario in the third.

Chris Williams took over for the Saints from there, tying the score with a solo home run off Dodd in the fourth inning and delivering a two-run single off Jackson Stephens in the sixth inning. Williams homered again in the seventh inning and Edouard Julien sealed the score with a three-run hit in the eighth inning.

Velazquez’s home run (his 10th) in the ninth inning cut the deficit to 11-5.
