Dead person found in sleeping bag in Manhattan: NYPD

MANHATTAN, NY (PIX11) – Police say a dead person was found in a sleeping bag in Manhattan’s Kips Bay neighborhood Friday night.

Police responded to a 911 call and found a dead person in a sleeping bag a few minutes before 5 p.m. The discovery was made near 207 East 27th Street, police said.


Further details were not immediately known. The police are investigating the circumstances of the person’s death.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the City of New York will determine the cause of death.
