Sexual exploitation: Woman accuses former colleague of sexual exploitation and posts video | Gurgaon News

Gurgaon: A 25-year-old employee of a private firm from Assam has accused a former colleague of sexually exploiting her and uploading a nude video of her online after he created a fake Instagram account in her name. The woman, who works in the city, filed a complaint at DLF 3 police station on Thursday, claiming that she went to the police due to persistent harassment and threats by the accused. A rape case was registered by the police on Thursday evening and a manhunt was launched to arrest the suspect, who is currently on the run, a police official said. In her complaint, the woman alleged that the 28-year-old accused from Delhi sexually exploited her while they were working together in a private firm. The accused started a recruitment firm a few months ago and after some disagreements, the woman cut off contact with him two months ago. “On June 9, the accused allegedly uploaded her nude video on Instagram through a fake profile and blackmailed her into further sexual exploitation. We have collected digital evidence and requested Instagram to deactivate the fake account used to upload the obscene video,” the police official added. The victim has been medically examined and the police are actively searching for the accused. A case has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and other relevant sections of the IT Act, said Inspector Balraj Singh of DLF Phase III police station
