Heatwave: A blocking ridge of high pressure and its heat dome will remain over the Pacific Northwest through next Thursday, producing record high temperatures. The ridge’s axis shifts just east of us on Friday, allowing a disturbance in the upper atmosphere to move across the region. The impact will be minor, temperatures will be a little “cooler” but still between 100 and 103 degrees. This disturbance will also likely produce some gusts, causing a high fire danger through next weekend.
