Man who died in motorcycle crash in Trumbull is remembered as a ‘gentle soul’

Abraham Martinez, 43, was a member of the Free Riders Motorcycle Club in the East End of Bridgeport, where Martinez was born and raised.

His friends and family came together to celebrate his legacy.

According to state police, the father of nine children, who had lived in Naugatuck for the past few years, died when a car struck his motorcycle on Route 25 South in Trumbull on Wednesday.

The Harding High School graduate’s family told News 12 they are devastated by his tragic “senseless death.”

“Because he was such a lovely human being and such a lovely person, I felt for all those he impacted, and he impacted many throughout the city,” said Martinez’s lifelong friend Vernon Thompson.
