RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO)– Richland County officials have arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting last month, the agency said.

The Sheriff’s Department became aware of the shooting when it responded to a 911 call at a local hospital about a gunshot victim around 6 p.m.

Investigators say the shooting occurred June 21 after an argument broke out between Kiante Siller and two 16-year-olds following a water gun fight on Bombing Range Road behind Bridge Creek Elementary School.

During the altercation, Siller retrieved a gun from the trunk of a vehicle and shot the victim, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.

Siller was arrested on Tuesday, July 2, and charged with four counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

And the two teens, both arrested on Monday, June 24, were charged with third-degree assault.
