Pittsburgh police search for missing, endangered senior citizen – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and in-danger senior citizen.

Bessie Ruth Thompson, 74, was last seen on July 5 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 5708 Butler Street.

Thompson, who calls herself “Ruth,” is described as 5’6″ tall and weighing 165 pounds. She has brown eyes and a short gray afro. She also has birthmarks on her face and is missing several teeth.

Thompson was last seen wearing a black silk jacket with flowers on it, black pants and black and white shoes. She is not carrying a purse or cell phone.

According to police, Thompson suffers from dementia and just moved to Pittsburgh from Chicago, so she is unfamiliar with the city.
