Buffalo Wild Wings seeks to open downtown state college

Buffalo Wild Wings could come to State College, borough board says agenda of the council working session.

According to the agenda, State College Wing Company, doing business as Buffalo Wild Wings, has applied to transfer its liquor license from Don Patron Mexican Grill. Buffalo Wild Wings would use its license at 131 Heister St., where Maxxen is located, in State College.

Buffalo Wild Wings would join El Jefe Taqueria, Mezeh Mediterranean Grill and Tropical Smoothie Cafe, which are slated to open in the fall.

This isn’t the first time Buffalo Wild Wings has tried to open in State College. The restaurant has tried will open on North Atherton Street in 2016, but These plans failed by September 2017.

A public hearing on the liquor license is scheduled for Aug. 5, with approval scheduled for Aug. 19. Council will meet on Monday, July 8.
