Texan arrested for operating drug lab in Tangipahoa

TANGIPAHOA – A Texas parolee was arrested during a routine stop at his Tangipahoa Parish home.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of the home of 25-year-old Shawn Gray early Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, officers discovered several drugs and secret lab equipment.

Gray, of Beaumont, Texas, lived in the village of Tangipahoa while serving a probation sentence for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and eluding police.

Officers seized 0.7 kg of marijuana, several THC cartridges, cocaine, two weapons and counterfeit money worth around $10,000.

Gray was arrested on several drug and weapons charges.
