Police arrest man after shooting and possible domestic incident at Chamblee home

CHAMBLEE, Georgia. – A man is in custody following an alleged domestic violence incident in Chamblee.

The incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday at a house on Harts Mill Court.

According to Captain Jason Waasdorp of the Chamblee Police Department, a woman called 911 and told the dispatcher that her boyfriend was under the influence of drugs, acting violently and was armed.

When officers arrived at the scene, they heard gunshots. It is unclear whether the shots were aimed at police officers.

The man was arrested and booked into the DeKalb County Jail on a misdemeanor charge. Additional charges may follow.
