Tony Khan is pressured to sign Vince McMahon despite federal investigation

Vince McMahon, a former board member of TKO Holdings, is embroiled in a human trafficking lawsuit and is currently one of the most controversial figures in pro wrestling. Despite this, former WWE star Tony Khan has been pushing for McMahon to be signed to AEW.

One of the biggest topics of discussion in pro wrestling lately is definitely the idea of Shane McMahon moving to AEW. Even Tony Khan made it clear that Shane McMahon is more than welcome in AEW.

However, no one ever thought that Vince McMahon could possibly move to AEW. On the Stevie Richards Show, the former WWE star stated that Shane McMahon would be a great signing for AEW.

Immediately afterward, Stevie Richards made a very controversial statement, urging Tony Khan to sign Vince McMahon, despite the fact that McMahon is in court and under federal investigation.

“I would even go so far as to say try to get Vince. That would be crazy. You’re talking about a guy that’s holding a grudge right now. Don’t think that just because this guy is 77, 78 years old, walks with a cane and has a rogue mustache that he doesn’t miss the fight. He’s fighting in court and litigation now for a lot of different things, but he still has the will to do it. Just think about it, I mean, and this really is, Shane is an outlier with a percentage of probably, I’d say, between 10 and 30%. Vince between 1 and 8%, but it’s still pretty cool fantasy booking..”

There is also an expectation within WWE that federal authorities will find incriminating material on Vince McMahon as part of their ongoing investigation. On the other hand, Vince Russo believes that Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon are secretly planning to buy AEW. Still, anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling, so we will have to wait and see if Vince McMahon somehow makes it to AEW, if not Shane McMahon.
