One dead and two injured in shooting in South End in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts (WWLP) – A woman died in a shooting in Springfield’s South End early Friday morning.

According to Springfield Police spokesman Ryan Walsh, officers were called to the intersection of Oswego and Niagara Streets around 12:50 a.m. to activate a ShotSpotter. When they arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Baystate Medical Center but succumbed to her injuries.


Two other men were also found with minor injuries.
