Serious scooter and bicycle accident in Bridgeport, Connecticut: Police

The 33-year-old woman who was riding the scooter and the 20-year-old man who was riding the bicycle were both taken to Bridgeport Hospital.

BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut – Bridgeport police are investigating a serious crash involving a scooter and a bicycle late Thursday night.

At 10:23 p.m., police were called to the intersection of East Main Street and Jane Street to report the accident and found that one of the people involved was unresponsive.

When emergency responders arrived, they found firefighters providing medical aid to the scooter and bicycle riders. Both appeared to be seriously injured, police said. One of them was unresponsive, police said.

The 33-year-old woman who was driving the scooter and the 20-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle were both taken to Bridgeport Hospital. The man is in critical condition, police said.

There was a passenger on the scooter next to the driver, but the police said they did not find him at the scene.
