A woman is dead and three men were also shot in separate incidents in Hartford – Hartford Courant

A woman is dead and three men are being treated for gunshot wounds after separate shootings in Hartford late Thursday and early Friday, police said.

In Friday’s incident, police officers responded to 40 Cleveland Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting and found two victims, a woman and a man, both in their 20s.

The woman was unresponsive at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said. She has not yet been identified by police.

The man at the scene was awake and conscious and was also taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

According to police, both victims were in a vehicle at the time of the shooting.

Before the incident on Cleveland Avenue, officers were called to Hartford Hospital shortly before 11:30 p.m. Thursday for a shooting in the 100 block of Seymour Street, police said.

The first victim, a 19-year-old man, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle and was in critical condition, police said. A second victim, a man in his 20s, arrived at Hartford Hospital after being picked up by an ambulance as he tried to reach the hospital on foot, police said.

The second victim in this incident is in stable condition, police said. “The investigation revealed that the two victims were shot in the area of ​​192 Seymour Street,” police said.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded to both shootings and took over the investigation, police said.
