Three people arrested for alleged attack on Olivia man | News

(Litchfield MN-) Three people have been arrested for an attack on an Olivia man who was found on the side of a rural road in Meeker County on June 28. Galen Serbus, 50, was stabbed and hit by a car and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment. Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze says they believe 20-year-old Arriyana Pillatzki of Pennock, 48-year-old David Pillatzki of Arco and 26-year-old Tre Ertl of Litchfield took Serbus to an area off 600th Avenue in Litchfield Township to rob him. Serbus was stabbed, hit by a car and left for dead. A passerby found him and called 911.

Aryianna Pillatzki was arrested late Tuesday afternoon at a hotel in Willmar, David Pillatzki was arrested late Wednesday afternoon at a hotel outside Granite Falls, and Tre Ertl was arrested during a traffic stop in Willmar late Wednesday evening.

All three suspects were booked into the Meeker County Jail pending charges. Aryianna Pillatzki was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and aggravated robbery, David Pillatzki on charges of aggravated robbery and third-party liability, and Tre Ertl on charges of attempted murder and aggravated robbery. All three are expected in court in the coming days.

From Sheriff Brian Cruze: “Thanks to the cooperation of multiple law enforcement agencies, we were able to quickly locate and arrest these suspects. I am grateful for the assistance of all agencies involved.”

Assisting in this investigation are: MN BCA, Willmar Police Department, Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force, Olivia Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Upper Sioux Police Department, Granite Falls Police Department, and Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office.
