Fort Worth girl kidnapped in robbery, police said

FORT WORTH, Texas — At least one person was arrested overnight after robbery suspects kidnapped a Fort Worth girl and led officers on a chase, police said.

The Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) said two men entered a home in the 6700 block of Golden Grove Road, near Chisolm Trail, around 2:07 a.m. Friday and abducted a girl at gunpoint. Two vehicles were stolen from the home, police said.

Officers tracked down one of the suspects’ vehicles and began a short chase that ended in a crash near the intersection of South Freeway and Sycamore School Road, police said.

Two suspects fled and at least one of them was arrested on Friday morning, police said.

Fort Worth police said the girl was safe and in good condition. She was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital in stable condition for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The arrested suspect, who police say is a male minor, was taken to the Scott D. Moore Juvenile Justice Center.
