Dominic West comments on THESE photos of Lily James

Dominic West “probably” understood better how the late Princess Diana felt after her “gossip incident” with Lily James.
The “Crown” actor was rocked by scandal in October 2020 when paparazzi photos were released of him kissing the “Pam & Tommy” star while on vacation in Rome. He admitted that he felt sorry for celebrity women whose every move is scrutinized.
Dominic, who has been married to Catherine FitzGerald since 2010, told The Times’ Saturday Review magazine: “Obviously I had a gossip incident that came at an inopportune time when there was no news during Covid, so it was non-stop.”
When asked if the critical examination helped him understand Diana’s feelings, he said: “Probably. But I think everyone understands what she went through. When you see a film like Amy about Amy Winehouse, they are young, beautiful women who are really important to them.”
The 54-year-old actor plays Prince Charles in The Crown, and although none of the current king’s friends were willing to speak to him during his research for the role, several people who had met the royal over the years were happy to oblige.
Dominic said: “Nobody (of his friends) wanted to talk to me.
“The reason they are friends is their discretion. But I have spoken to many people who have met Charles, like farmers, fence builders. I bought a dog from a woman who lives on a farm in the Duchy of Cornwall.
“The king met more people than anyone else in history, apart from his mother and father. None of them had a bad word to say. Well, one did – and that was very funny too.”
However, his co-star Olivia Williams – who plays Camilla Parker Bowles, now Queen Camilla – believes the royals approve of the show.
Speaking about the wedding between her and Dominic’s characters in the film, which was filmed at York Cathedral rather than Windsor Castle, where the couple actually married, she said: “I’ll tell you a secret.
“The orchestra that played Handel’s music in York Cathedral played at the wedding of Charles and Camilla.
“The orchestra’s patron is Charles, so if they hated us, I don’t think they would have let them play.”
