Police: 2 men found dead in pool in Pine Township during welfare check

Two men were found dead in a swimming pool in Pine Township Thursday afternoon, according to Allegheny County police.

On Thursday at 6:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Either Drive to check on the welfare of residents. At the scene, emergency responders found two dead men in a pool.

According to the police, preliminary investigations have not revealed any evidence of third-party negligence.

One of the men was identified as Christopher Gebhardt, 63, of Pine, according to the Allegheny County coroner. Officials have yet to identify the other man.
