Cyclist killed in hit-and-run accident in Cooper Twp.

COOPER TOWNSHIP, Michigan (WOOD) – A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Cooper Township Thursday evening.

At around 11 p.m., Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office officers were dispatched to the area of ​​N Riverview Drive and EB Avenue for a bicycle accident.

The sheriff’s office said the cyclist, a 38-year-old man, died at the scene. His name was not released.

Officers are still searching for the vehicle. The sheriff’s office said it is believed to be a Ford pickup truck from 1998 to 2004.

The crash remains under investigation.
