Man dies in tragic work accident

A man has died in a tragic industrial accident after reportedly becoming trapped in a silo.

Emergency services, including paramedics, police and firefighters, rushed to a property in Salt Creek in southeastern South Australia at around 4.15pm on Friday.

“A 63-year-old man from Salt Creek died at the scene of the accident,” police said Friday evening.

SafeWork SA is on site and will conduct an investigation.

The police will prepare a report for the coroner.
