Pedestrian hit and killed, 24th and Oak Street

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Bakersfield police are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian dead Thursday evening.

At around 8:40 p.m., police were called to the intersection of 24th Street and Oak Street. A pedestrian died in the collision, Bakersfield police said. The cause of the collision was not immediately known.

Due to the investigation, eastbound 24th Street is expected to be closed for several hours.
