Hutchinson man arrested for attempted murder

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A 26-year-old Hutchinson man was arrested on charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault after an apparent stabbing.

The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. The first arriving police officers found a victim, whose name police did not release, with a laceration to his body. Another victim told police the suspect, Briantey Baskin, threatened him with a knife.

The injured victim was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.
