First weather warning: Good for fireworks, then some natural fireworks on Friday

The evening of July 4th looks good. The sun has pretty much disappeared, but it should stay dry through the evening. There is a small chance we will see a brief, light shower late in the evening, but most showers should hold off until after midnight and into the night.

Friday will be another warm and muggy day with highs around 27 degrees. We’ll see more clouds than sun, but the sun will shine at times. While most of Friday will be dry, a few showers will develop in the late afternoon, with most storms holding off until late evening and overnight. There is a small chance that these storms will bring gusty winds on Friday night, but this should be limited to the overnight hours.

The weekend looks fine, with the slight chance of a few brief showers on Saturday, followed by dry weather on Sunday with more sunshine and more pleasant humidity. Things will warm up again early next week, with highs rising above 30 degrees again and potentially reaching 32 degrees on Monday and/or Tuesday. But Tuesday’s warmth is likely to be accompanied by isolated thunderstorms.
