Motorcyclist killed in collision on PCH in Orange County

A woman died on the afternoon of July 4 when the motorcycle she was riding was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Huntington Beach.

According to Huntington Beach police, the accident occurred around 11 a.m. on Pacific Coast Highway and Coral Cay Lane.


Details are limited, but police say a 27-year-old West Covina woman was traveling westbound on PCH on a 2021 Harley Davidson. As she attempted to change lanes, she lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado in one lane and a 2017 Ford Mustang in another.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene and took the woman to hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Her name has not yet been released.

The accident is currently being investigated by the police department’s Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team, officials said.
