Police arrest man after fight at Narragansett Town Beach

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — Narragansett Police said a man was arrested following a fight at Narragansett Town Beach on July 3.

Joshua Adams, 18, of North Kingstown, was charged with carrying a weapon while under the influence of alcohol and disorderly conduct.

Police said they were patrolling the beach around 9:30 p.m. when an argument between a group of teenagers escalated into a fight.

A witness told police that one of the escapees was waving a gun.

The department said Adams was arrested after a “short foot chase” and was found in possession of a replica air rifle.
