New Castle, DE – One dead in three-car crash on Wilson Road.

New Castle, DE (July 4, 2024) – Delaware State Police responded to the scene of a fatal crash in New Castle on Monday, July 1. The crash occurred around 4:00 p.m. along Wilson Road in Brandywine Hundred Township.

According to a local report, the crash involved three cars that collided head-on. When police arrived, they found an elderly man with life-threatening injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people in the other vehicles were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The crash caused Wilson Road to be closed for several hours. No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No further information is available.
