Houston residents concerned after fatal shooting outside taco truck

A deadly shooting at a taco truck in a southwest Houston community has shaken residents, especially as the suspect remains at large.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man has been arrested for his alleged role in the shooting death of a man outside a southwest Houston taco truck, records show.

Rontreyvius Wooten has been charged with murder in the June 3 shooting on Richmond Avenue near Dunvale Road.

Houston police officers were called to the scene after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Surveillance video obtained by ABC13 shows a white car pulling into the Richmond parking lot just before the shooting; the car stops, someone gets out and begins shooting the victim.

Records show Wooten was arrested hours later, around 4:51 a.m.

The motive, as well as his connection to the victim, are not known.

Wooten is in jail on $1 million bail.
