Police issue public safety alert after woman filmed in dressing room of Etobicoke store

Police have issued a public safety alert after a woman was filmed in the dressing room of an Etobicoke store last week.

According to police, the incident occurred on June 27 at a store near North Queen Street and Queensway.

It is alleged that the woman was in a changing room when she noticed a mobile phone being held under the wall of the cubicle.

According to police, the suspect apparently took “pictures of the victim” before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

Police have released several photos of a suspect in the case.

He is described as being between 50 and 60 years old, clean-shaven, of medium build and with short, receding dark hair. He was last seen wearing blue trousers and a blue and red T-shirt.

“Police are asking the public to remain alert, remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police,” said the public safety alert issued Thursday.
