Controversial rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing another case of sexual assault after a woman made new allegations against him.

The lawsuit filed by former porn star Adria English in New York is the latest of several lawsuits filed against the star in recent months.

Mr Combs, one of rap’s most successful moguls, has consistently denied all allegations of sexual assault and physical abuse, including the recent ones.

The star is now reportedly the subject of a federal investigation, although according to NBC News, there are no signs that charges will be filed immediately.

Mr Combs’ legal troubles have deepened after his ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura made allegations against him in November. He apologized earlier this year after footage came to light showing him attacking Ms Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016.

The new indictment in New York alleges that Mr. Combs “coerced and coerced” Ms. English into performing sex work for him at parties and that the rapper threatened to ruin her career if she did not cooperate.

In Ms English’s 114-page brief, which describes events between 2004 and 2009, a total of 33 allegations are made against Mr Combs and his employees.

“No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it will not change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually harassed anyone or been a victim of sex trafficking,” his lawyer told US media.

The statement continued: “Mr. Combs is confident that he will prevail in court against these and other baseless claims.”

Ms. English is the latest in a series of women to make claims against Mr. Combs in recent months. Ms. Ventura had already filed a lawsuit, which Mr. Combs settled in November for an undisclosed sum.

She had accused him of rape and sex trafficking for over a decade. Mr Combs’ team made clear that the settlement was not an admission of wrongdoing.

Since then, various allegations of sexual and physical abuse have been made against the rapper.

His homes in Los Angeles and Miami, Florida, were raided earlier this year as part of a federal human trafficking investigation.

Mr. Combs’ team has been informed that he is the subject of an ongoing federal criminal investigation, NBC News reported, citing two sources familiar with his legal matters.

Details of the reported investigation have not been disclosed, and neither federal officials nor Mr. Combs’ legal team have commented specifically on the matter.
