1 dead and 2 injured in nighttime car crash in northwest Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died and two others were seriously injured in an accident in northwest Austin on Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Services said paramedics were called to a two-vehicle crash in the 11800 block of northbound Research Boulevard just after midnight.


Three people were involved in the accident, one of whom was trapped in her vehicle and had to be freed.

ATCEMS said one adult was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were taken to St. David’s Round Rock. One of them suffered life-threatening injuries and the other suffered potentially serious injuries, EMS said.
