Six people arrested after mass panic in India: Police

Indian police have arrested six people in connection with their alleged role in a stampede during a religious sermon that left 121 people dead, police told reporters on Thursday.

“Six people were arrested,” Police Inspector General Shalabh Mathur told reporters. “They were mostly working as volunteers. They were engaged in crowd control and collecting funds.”
