Houston, Texas News: Truck Towing Boat Leads Police Into Chase

The incident began with a call about a stolen truck in the Sugar Land area around 3 a.m. and ended with a police chase of the truck and the boat it was towing for more than an hour. Police said the chase reached speeds of up to 120 mph.

The driver led police onto eastbound Interstate 290 near Barker Cypress, then continued onto eastbound I-10, then onto I-45, I-610 and finally onto northbound Eastex Freeway. Police said the driver was traveling the wrong way on Eastex Freeway when they deployed spike strips, ending the pursuit.

One person has been taken into custody but police are still looking for another suspect.
