Cleveland police officer shot in Hough neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Cleveland police officer was shot and killed Thursday morning on the city’s east side.

Cleveland police officers have been on the scene in the 1500 block of E. 80th St. since about 1 a.m.

This is in the Hough neighborhood.

Cleveland EMS confirmed that one victim, a civilian, was taken to a local hospital with “non-life-threatening” injuries.

At this time, no information regarding the officer’s condition has been released.

Cleveland police said a press conference is scheduled for approximately 6:30 a.m. We’re broadcasting live.
