North Carolina man faces felony charges after aggressive driving in Danville

A North Carolina man was arrested in Danville on Tuesday and charged with multiple crimes following a road rage incident.

On July 2 at approximately 4 p.m., Danville Police officers were called to the 700 block of Halifax Road for a report of shots fired. A short time later, a victim reported that his vehicle had been shot at during a DUI incident.

Information obtained at the scene identified 28-year-old Marlowe Malik Cobbs of Milton, North Carolina as the suspect. He was located in Caswell County, NC with assistance from the County Sheriff’s Office.

Cobbs was extradited to Virginia and is being held without bail in the Danville City Jail. He faces several charges:

  • Shooting from a vehicle
  • Attempted grievous bodily harm
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a crime
  • Firing a firearm in public
  • Child endangerment
  • Shooting at an occupied vehicle
